Knitting News

News from our broader knitting community:

You can volunteer for the Shepherds’ Extravaganza during the Spring Fair in Puyallup, April 16 to April 19. Show all of the cool things you can do with wool and other fibers. Organizers are looking for spinners and demonstrations of other special techniques.

Demonstrators and spinners, who will work in the J Barn, will receive complimentary gate passes to the Spring Fair. Parking is free in the Orange Lot. You will be asked to come for a three- or four-hour shift. Shifts will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can volunteer by contacting Susan at smparr4h@live.com. Include your preferred day and hours, what you plan to demonstrate, and your mailing address so Susan can mail your gate passes.
The South Sound Yarn Crawl is on hold for this year. But do not despair! You have the Pacific Northwest Yarn Crawl, featuring six local yarn shops. The event is April 30, May 1, and May 2 from 9 a.m. 7 p.m., and May 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
