A Resource for Yarn Substitution

Every knitter has had a need to substitute one yarn for another. You have a yarn in your stash that might work for a project, but will it substitute for the original? Here is a web site, YarnSub, that is can be very helpful.

Play around with it. It includes an enormous database and lots of helpful information for yarn substitution.

Foggy Knitting

The thick fog in Puyallup did not deter our knitters. Thank you, Lisa, for leading our first meeting of 2015.

Among the projects on display:

Chrisʼs No Leftovers Russian Wedding Band Cowl
Joanʼs “loon” sock
Lisaʼs “one stitch below” scarf
Patʼs helix scarf
Congratulations to Jan for completing her first sweater, in black, no less.

Word is out that a new yarn store will open in the old Yellow House shop. If you have any information or see a “grand opening” sign, let us know.

Happy 2015!

Next meeting:
Tuesday, January 13
9:30 a.m.-Noon

Bring your knitting, your finished items, holiday stories, and your name tent.

Because we have no official leader, someone (you?) will need to step up and lead the meeting.
