Knitting for American Girls

The USO is a privately funded organization. Guild member Barb is collecting American Girl Doll items for a basket for an auction to benefit the Sea-Tac Airport USO, which her son runs. Barb is collecting an American Girl wardrobe (knitting, crochet, sewing) for the well-dressed doll. If you would like to donate an item, please get it to Barb by August 12.

You can find dozens of patterns on Ravelry.

We Like Our New Home!

Our first meeting at the Puyallup Activity Center was a great success. Nice room, lots of space and light, friendly people at the center. Looks like we have a winner!

And lots of knitting.

Jeannieʼs knit-along shawl
Joanʼs Seahawks sock
Joyʼs crocheted net scarf
Sueʼs Bishi water bottle carrier
Barb is asking for donations for an American Girl Doll knitwear basket. She is putting the basket together for an auction to support the USO, where her son works. She would like any contributions — knit, crochet, fabric — for the well-dressed American Girl Doll. You can find many patterns on Ravelry. Bring your American Girl fashions to Barb by August.

New Location!

We begin meeting in our new location this month!

Tuesday, May 13
9:30 am-noon
201 West Pioneer

One entrance is across the circle from the library, adjacent to the coffee shop; the other is at Pioneer and 3rd Street SW, across from the parking lot. Park in the lot at the corner of West Pioneer and 3rd Street SW (see map on Puyallup Activity Center web site). Park in the spaces with blue lines. If those are filled, park in a space with white lines and get a free parking permit inside the center. You will be asked to sign in at the center to help the organization track use at the center.

Puyallup Activity Center
We have a large, comfortable room for our meeting. You can buy coffee at the center, the coffee shop next door, or bring your own.

Remember to bring your knitting, your name tent, your FOs, and your knitting stories.
