Welcome, Guests!

First, congratulations to Lisa for her “best in class” award at the Pierce County Fair. We knew her red cabled sweater was a winner, and the fair judges agreed.

The guild welcomed three guests at the August meeting: Pat, Karen, and Sheryl. All are fine knitters and we hope they return.

And in the show-and-share department, we have:

Joan and Jeannie test knit the beaded Ciara Shawl
Joan’s Aranami Shawl
Pat’s Mae Flowers Shawl
Sheryl’s summer sweater
Naomi’s sock yarn mitts (no, that is not entrelac;
it is sock yarn with long color repeats)
Joy’s poncho
Another big hit was Jeanne’s Marjamets Shawl (sorry, no photo). This is a free pattern that looks like a fun knit.

Be sure to enter your knitting in the Washington State Fair (see the Upcoming Events column).

August Meeting

Tuesday, August 13
9:30 a.m.

Bring your show-and-share knitting projects.

The guild needs someone to make name tents. We have several new members in our group (and some current members) who need name tents. If you would like to make the name tents for the group, contact Jeannie. Current members also can contact Jeannie for a name tent.

The remaining 2013 meetings will be at 9:30 a.m. in the North Room.
