Summer Knitting

It looks like summer knitting, with lots of small projects.

Jeannie's short-row scarf
Hats made with self-striping yarn
Joan C.’s football hat
Joan C.’s lace baby dress
Entrelac scarf
Jeannie's first doily
Joan D.’s Maluka scarf

Thank you, Libbie, for taking the pictures this month.

In guild business:
  • The picnic will be Tuesday, August 14, at Pattie’s house. Directions were provided in the newsletter. Bring a main dish or salad or dessert or snacks to share (along with serving utensils), your own non-alcoholic beverage, your knitting, show-and-share projects, a lawn or camp chair if you have/want one, sunglasses and/or hat and/or wrap (depending on the weather). Plates and flatware will be provided.
  • Be sure to enter your knitting and other handicrafts in the Pierce County Fair and the Western Washington Fair.
  • We will feature our knitting in the Puyallup Library display case in January 2013. Bring your contributions to the December meeting. Ideas for the display case — charity items, different ways to knit socks, lace, Fair Isle. Volunteer in late December or the first week in January to help set up the display.
