Knitting, Food, Friendship

The December meeting had everything — knitting, food, and friendship — to celebrate the holidays.

Yummy!

Barb's Norwegian patterns
Sue's Quincy hat and Scaruffle
Chris's crocheted ice skate ornaments
Jeannie's shawlette
Angela's scarf
We also collected a large pile of gifts that Sue L. will give to Sleep Country for distribution to foster children. Thank you to everyone for your generosity.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving with plenty of food and family.

In your spare time, you might want to knit a turkey hat for your favorite child. The pattern is here.

Or maybe a dishcloth? The pattern is here.

Check out Ravelry for a lot more turkey patterns.

Rainier Manor Meeting

Thanks you, Lisa, for offering the club room at Rainier Manor for our November meeting. And thank you for the coffee, tea, and cookies.

And, especially, thank you for inviting Millie from the Ben Franklin store in Bonney Lake. Millie showed us some new yarns and quick-knit patterns (has anyone noticed that the holidays are coming soon?). She also provided three knitting bags from Paton’s for a drawing. We hope to ask Millie to teach classes for the guild; fit and finishing were two popular topics.

The meeting was a great success, judging by attendance and the quality and quantity of the knitting displayed.
