Seaming Tutorial

The June 9 meeting included a tutorial on seaming, with lessons on seaming both garter and stockinette garments. Pattie suggested the topic based on her experiences as a knitting judge. The quality of the seaming can be the difference between an outstanding project and a so-so project. Joan and Naomi agreed to provide instruction.

Guild members brought 10-inch by 10-inch squares for practice. Bring your completed and seamed squares to the July meeting so we an assemble them into a blanket or two to donate to a charity that supports children.

Thank you, Naomi and Joan for such helpful instruction. You can learn more about seaming here and here.

Naomi modeled her new scarf, one of the trio in the Fiber Trends Versatile Scarves pattern, knit with Noro sock yarn. Beautiful!

Members are encouraged to show off their finished projects on this site. Send a picture to Joan or Sue, along with details about the project.
